What do you think of Waitrose coming to Helensburgh?

As reported on s1helensburgh last month, Waitrose might be coming to our town.

The proposed site is on Cardross Road.

The upmarket supermarket chain recently asked Helensburgh residents to fill in a survey about their proposal.

Waitrose held a display at the Victoria Halls last week with the survey  and almost 1000 people filled it in.

If the planning application is successful the store would be likely to open during 2013.

The store would bring 180 jobs to the area which would be great.

And it would also provide a second petrol station for the town

But do we need another supermarket?
